About OASIIS

Who We Are

OASIIS is Asia-Oceania's primary cross-border coordination body for information integrity, bringing together fact-checkers, media, civil society and technology partners.

Founded in 2023, OASIIS emerged from a recognition that disinformation threats cross borders, languages and cultures — and that responses must too. We serve as a neutral convening body, facilitating cooperation among diverse organisations committed to independent, evidence-based journalism.

Our work is grounded in the IFCN Code of Principles, which requires editorial independence, transparency about funding and methodology, and non-partisan operation. All members voluntarily adopt these standards as a condition of membership.

We operate from hubs in Singapore, Auckland and New Delhi, with programme staff active across the region. Our governance is democratic: the Steering Committee is elected by members and reflects regional diversity.
